Botanical Arts and Crafts

Program Information

Location: Most classes will take place at BRIT or at the FW Botanic Garden. Some classes and workshops will be taught off campus and/or may include field trips to other locations around North Central Texas.

Cost: Class tuition varies depending on the length of the class and materials needed. Please see the individual class listings for exact prices.

Who should attend: GROW Adult Ed classes are designed for adults 18 and older. Interested children 14 and older are invited to attend classes with a parent or guardian if both individuals purchase a seat. Please don't hesitate to contact Erin Starr White if you have any questions about this policy.

Helpful Tip: Since you never know where GROW Adult Ed might take you, we recommend that participants dress comfortably in clothes that are appropriate for both indoor and outdoor adventures. A sweater is recommended for air conditioned environments, and closed toe shoes are always a good idea. Please check individual class listings for any specific requirements and, as always, don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions. We look forward to seeing you at a GROW Adult Education class soon!

Join Gay Larson and create a colorful succulent container garden that seems to flow across a pot. Bring your own 12”-14” pot and we'lll supply the other materials including plants, decorative stones, sea glass and, of course, soil! You will leave with a delightful, easy to maintain pot of succulents that will add interest to your patio.

Instructor Gay Larson is a Master Gardener in both Tarrant and Parker Counties.  She is the Project Leader for Union Gospel Mission and has landscaped various Master Gardener projects in Fort Worth, Aledo, Azle, Annetta, Weatherford, and Willow Park since 1997.  She teaches classes to 4 H, Eagle Scouts and various Master Gardener Associations and Conferences. She was recognized by the Star Telegram as one of five Women of the Year in 1997 for her volunteer work at Union Gospel Mission and named Master Gardener of the Year in 2000.
