How long does a Fort Worth Botanic Garden and BRIT membership last?

A membership is one full year.

Is a Partner-level membership just for couples and families?

No. Adults and/or children under one household or immediate family can be on a membership together as long as the first and last names are listed.

If I purchase a Partner-level membership, do I have to provide the names for everyone on the membership?

No. You don’t have to provide all names at the time of purchase, but to gain benefits 2 named adults (19+ years old) and children must be listed on membership. Adult children with disabilities are included. Contact the membership office to add names to your membership if not done so.

I would like to purchase a Partner-level membership. Can the second member card read “guest” so that I can bring a different person with me each visit?

At this time, no. By adding a named adult to the card, we can properly support and help utilize member benefits appropriately. Please be sure to bring a matching ID upon visiting the Garden.

If I purchase a Patron to Sustainer-level membership, do I have to list the guest(s)?

No. With these levels of membership you do not have to name the guests on your membership account. Please note, a named card holder at these levels is required for the guest to receive free admission.

Can I change the names under my membership at any time?

You can add up to 2 named adults and children living in one household with a Partner to Sustainer level membership if they haven’t been previously added. If names are already on the account, then the names cannot be changed.

Do children need membership cards to gain admissions?

As long as children 18 and under are listed on a Partner to Sustainer level membership, they will not need a membership card to gain entry into the Garden. Please note children 15 and under require adult supervision. All children under 6 years old will be free regardless of a membership.

What are guest passes?

Guest passes are Supporter-level benefits. These are one-time use passes that gain admission into the Fort Worth Botanic Garden, including the Japanese Garden.

What is an Access membership?

This membership offers SNAP program recipients a $30 membership. Benefits reflect the GROW Partner membership level. Stop by the Fort Worth Botanic Garden or BRIT to get an Access membership.

Is a membership tax deductible?

Yes. The Botanical Research Institute of Texas (BRIT) is a 501(c)(3) organization with tax-exempt status. For Access to Affiliate-level membership, no goods or services valued at $100.00 have been provided. For Sustainer-level memberships, no goods or services valued at $266.00 have been provided. The amount of your membership contribution in excess of the value of goods and serviced received is tax deductible to the full extent of the law.

What if I have a membership for another nearby garden?

Some other garden memberships will get you admission to the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens but, no discounts on events, gift shops, invites and other Fort Worth Botanic Garden and BRIT member benefits qualify.

What is a MusePass?

The Fort Worth Public Library offers passes to allow library users to visit the Fort Worth Botanic Garden at no charge. The passes can be checked out from a library for one week of free admission for two adults with children 17 and younger that reside in the same household. Contact your local Fort Worth Library for more information.

What happens to my membership with the Fort Worth Botanical Society?

After April 1, 2019 a separate membership to the Fort Worth Botanic Garden and BRIT is necessary to gain Garden and BRIT benefits. If you want more information about your Society membership, contact the Fort Worth Botanical Society office at (817) 392-5548.
