Laura joined BRIT in 2013 bringing with her 20 plus years of project management experience and a Masters in Library Science focusing on information management and preservation.  Laura has experience in both the non-profit and for profit worlds having worked for organizations such as Starbucks Coffee, The Dallas Theater Center and Juli Original Designs prior to receiving her Master’s degree.  After receiving her MLS Laura was employed by Southwest Research Institute in San Antonio where she served as Programming and Preservation Librarian and The University of North Texas, where she served as Conference Organizer for the iConference 2013.

Currently, Laura's work focuses on making the collections at BRIT more accessible to both researchers and the general public and connecting the public to the research taking place at BRIT though meaningful and engaging library outreach programs.
