Laura joined BRIT in 2013 bringing with her 20 plus years of project management experience and a Masters in Library Science focused on adult programming and community building.  Laura has experience in both the non-profit and for profit worlds having worked for organizations such as Starbucks Coffee, The Dallas Theater Center, The University of North Texas, and Southwest Research Institute in San Antonio.

Currently, Laura is responsible for building the innovative new community education department at BRIT which includes GROW Adult Education classes and workshops, the exhibit program, and the BRIT Reads Book Club. She designs events, exhibits and classes that bring together resources from BRIT and the Fort Worth Botanic Garden in order to foster a meaningful and engaging center for adult learners.
