Explore the outdoors with your children ages 18 months to 3 years at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden. Spend your morning outside as we enjoy story time and activities with Carlos the Cactus! This month we will be reading the book, “Leaf Man” by Lois Ehlert. Enjoy story time with Carlos the Cactus and then explore the garden as we search high and low finding woodland tree treasures to create our own little Leaf Man. This will be your last month to have fun in the Garden since winter is quickly approaching and our Garden is going to sleep. Hope to see you there!Book

About GROWing Together

To ensure the safety of our community, all in-person educational programs for children and families are suspended through September.

If the situation allows, we will reschedule programs for a later date. In the meantime, please explore virtual classes and activities from the Education team.

If you have questions or concerns, please email the following:

  • Volunteer Opportunities: volunteer@brit.org
  • Education Programs: mschmidlkofer@brit.org

Welcome!

With both the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens and the Botanical Research Institute of Texas as educational resources, GROW offers hands-on, nature-based educational programming to local families. Due to the current situation, Bella Book and Nature Club and Little Sprouts Book and Garden Club have moved online with interactive virtual experiences which are free to all. Follow the links to register and GROW with us!

Email mschmidlkofer@brit.org to be added to our "GROW Family Events" direct mail list.
