Ultimate STEM Challenges

Looking for an outdoor adventure to engage K-5 explorers this summer?

FWBG| BRIT Ultimate Summer STEM Challenges will give your group the chance to explore the Fort Worth Botanic Garden while providing interactive STEM challenges related to special exhibits and garden spaces. Educators may schedule a two-hour time slot and receive a bag of STEM activities to lead with your group as they connect STEM and nature. FWBG|BRIT staff will welcome your group to introduce activities and schedule your reflection to discuss your STEM Challenge Experience. Activity engagement time is 1 hour, with 1 hour to freely explore the Garden. 

Each two-hour experience includes:

Available Tuesday – Friday

10:00 AM – 12:00 PM or 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM

$7 /Students $5 /Adults or Minimum Fee $140 for Groups of Fewer than 20 Participants

Maximum capacity of 100 students.

Explore the Nature Connects exhibit and take the STEM Challenge to gain a greater understanding of relationships in nature.

Eco-Region Exploration (June, July, August)

Visit a variety of eco-regions and habitats available in the Botanic Garden: forests, deserts, and prairies are all on display!

Registration for the Fall Semester Coming Soon! Available Experiences will include:

•K-2nd: Sensational Seeds – Explore nature and all the different types of seeds. Take the STEM Challenge to gain a greater understanding of seeds and their importance to all living things.


•3rd-5th: Ecoregion Exploration– Visit a variety of eco-regions and habitats available in the Botanic Garden: forests, deserts, and prairies are all on display!


•Middle/ High School: Sustainable Systems- Discover how our water and soil systems work together! Determine what it takes to make a healthy soil, where our water comes from and where it goes, and many more aspects on what we can do to make these systems more sustainable.
